How Europe Learned to Look Again—at Texts, Bodies, Power, and Itself

As Europe moved from the late Middle Ages into the Renaissance, how did humanism change how people understood themselves, exercised power, and viewed life in this world?
CURATORIAL THROUGHLINE / 策展主线Renaissance scholars compared manuscripts, dated words, measured space, studied bodies, and described rulers under pressure. Patrons paid for time, materials, and training; courts and cities rewarded useful learning; printers multiplied the copies. These arrangements gave politics, art, scholarship, and personal ambition more room to operate. Churches, dynasties, guilds, estates, and gender hierarchies still governed access.
